Can I meet the cat before filling out an application?

Yes you can, but since we don't have an adoption center, all of our fosters stay in private residences. What we do is bring the cat to their prospective adopters once we all feel the cat may be a good fit. This takes care of the requisite home-check and allows you to get a better feel for the cat - rather than do a quick meet and greet - when the cat may have just woken up, became confused about meeting new people, or heard the dog barking, etc. We understand this may not be ideal for everyone but, we feel this has been working very well as we have such a low number of returns.

How long does it take for a cat to adjust to a new home?

We believe it takes a minimum of a few days or even weeks to get a good feel for a cat's personality and to see how she would adjust to her new home.

What if conditions change and the cat isn't a good fit anymore?

If at any time you decide the cat you adopt from us is not the right fit for you or there is a change of heart or circumstance - we'd gladly pick her back up, immediately - no time limit. We never want any of our foster kids to be in a place where they aren't safe and cherished and we always want the adoptive, new guardians to be happy with their pets!
